The Arafura Region - Our Home in a Global, Connected World
The Arafura Sea is nestled between the Gulf of Carpentaria, the Timor Sea, the Banda Sea and the Torres Strait. In days long since past, the Arafura shelf formed part of a large, flat land bridge connecting Australia and New Guinea, aiding the migration of people from Asia to Australia.
Inspired by our proximity to the sea of the same name, Arafura Data was established in Darwin, Australia in 2024. Today, our vision at Arafura Data is to help build the bridge connecting businesses, government and community to our increasingly data-driven world.
Our quote from Jacques Cousteau evokes the sense of endless possibilities and the power of exploration, much like the world of data, where new insights and opportunities can captivate and transform organisations.
